Podcast Reciever

Hey guys,

So something that is really starting to bug me is that subsonic's web interface doesn't know when new podcasts are available for listening.

To be more specific, I'm looking for something more akin to "instacast" or "itunes" that will tell you when a new podcast has been downloaded and ready to go using a notification of some kind.

I had assumed that the "recently added widget" on the home screen would have it... but for whatever reason mine doesn't seem to update anything unless I specifically make a folder and add files to it.

Lastly, I had tried to add my podcasts folder as a music folder to maybe tricking the RecAdd widget in to thinking that where were new files in there. But, it didn't pan out.

okay, so here is the actual question I need help with.

Does anyone know of a module or some sort of plugin I can use that will notify me of newly downloaded podcasts?
