Hi,

Since I have installed SubSonic on my new MacBook Pro, I have not been able to get SubSonic to operate. It is forwarding port 4040 correctly but in regard to my personal URL, I get a message saying it's registered but there is a Connect Timeout Exception Error. Please let me know what I can do to fix this. Nothing else in my setup has changed from my previous system and that worked fine.

I'm also getting this issue

I managed to setup SubSonic on my WHS box yesterday and was successfully accessing my music remotely. However, performance was bad so I decided to uninstall and reconfigure it for my Win 7 box.

Went through what I thought was the same process but no I'm getting the timeout exception error. My router is reporting that it is forwarding port 4040 correctly and I also manually configured my router to forward the port to my win 7 machine.

To test if the Windows firewall was casuing the issue I turned that off briefly but I still received the issue.

Any ideas where I might be going wrong?

Well...did a little more searching and saw a post saying port 808x always works so I just reconfigured to use port 8081. Stopped and restarted the service and bingo!

So...OP...you might give port 8081 a shot if you haven't already.
