Hi is there a way in Subsonic to let user listen a music from any place in song or mix compilation etc.. bat not let him download that file to pc!
(Yes I now that with small input and 3 party app it’s still possible to capture the stream)

Sorry, I don't think Subsonic will ever support random skipping within audio streams. I guess Helix uses features of the (proprietary) Microsoft WMA protocol to do this. As far as I know, there is no way to do the same with plain mp3 streams.

Actually, a php script called KPlaylist does allow you to skip around the mp3 stream...it works in winamp.

It doesn't work when you use Lame to re-encode it at a different bit rate however.
