Albums not showing in Home & User statistics not working

Hey,
I've recently installed Subsonic. I believe I have configured it well, as everything is working great except the albums don't show when I'm in the 'Main' tab.

Even though I've added album covers for all my songs.
Is there a reason why this does not work?

Also, another problem.

Why does it now show me the user statistics?

Server details:
jetty-6.1.x, java 1.6.0_17, Linux (31.3 MB / 46.0 MB)

Thanks

Probably hasn't been indexed yet. Go to Settings/Search and click on Update search index now. Give it 15 min. Indexing time depends on the size of your library.

You were right, the albums do show now when it has been indexed :)

The user statistics function does not work yet though. Any tips on how to fix that?

That too, should resolve itself. Give it some more time.

Alright. I'll give it a couple of days.

Another question:
I've been trying to search for a function that would allow users to sign up themselves, so I don't need to add them manually. Is there such a function?

Not at this time. I use generic guest and visitor accounts that I give to people who wnant to visit my sites. You can create different generic accounts with different Privelege levels. Not ideal, but workable. Creating definable access rights to each directory on a per user level has been suggested many times.

I'm not sure about the "user statistics." That's an issue I've never had a problem with. You might try a forum search to see if anyone else has encountered it before.

Alright. I've given it plenty of time but it's still not working. I've also searched the forums, but the best tip I found was to restart the server. I did that, but didn't help at all.

Any ideas?

I'm a Windows guy. If I was where you're at, I'd uninstall SS through Control Panel/Programs and Features, uninstall Java and delete C:\Subsonic. Then start with a fresh Java install to the latest version. If you use a 64 bit browser be sure to get both 32 & 64 bit Java.

Then reinstall SS.

It's also a good idea to do a reboot just before reinstalling Java and SS.

Alright. I'm running Subsonic on Centos 5.5.

I'm also getting an Error message while signing it. Weird.

Delete the browser cache.

It happens on any computer, so there is no browser cache involved.

I've seen this happen occasionally on my servers. Stopping the SS service and restarting it usually fixes it. Perhaps rebooting the server would help.
