Droid Inc playing problem

Problem Description: i recently had the same issue that many other users seemed to be having with subsonic saying it couldn't find any files. this issue has has since been resolved but ever since then i will try and stream files from my computer to my phone but they never download/will download half then stop downloading all together or say that the whole song is downloaded but then it stops playing 30 seconds into the song and goes to the next. the server is working perfectly fine on my home computer and i'm trying to stream at my work through wifi. my connection to wifi at work is great as i've done speedtests and the download speed, which is close to 10 MB/s, is more than enough to stream music. playing the files on any work computer through the web browser works perfectly fine. i had no problems before the recent "no files found" issue. hopefully someone has some answers or some steps i can try to take to figure this out. thanks.
Troubleshooting Steps: not sure where to start. i've tested upload speed from my computer at home (~300kb/s) and download speed at work (~10 MB/s). i have also tried to stream using my mobile network (verizon) and it still stays stuck on downloading.

ok, since i got no help/responses here :P , i took a while and figured out what the problem was. apparently, my cache size had been changed from 1 GB to 10 GB (i think it was 10 GB anyways) in the settings unknowingly. what i didn't know is that subsonic will download the files you play to your SD card as part of the cache process. maybe i'm stupid or something but i didn't realize it would do that as it is supposed to just stream the files and not download them to your phone unless you specifically tell it to when you select a full album. as far as i can tell, there is no setting in the subsonic android app that allows you to change this "feature". what happened is that my SD card was filled up and thus not allowing it to download or stream any new files. i went through and deleted all the files in the subsonic folder on my SD card and went from no free space to about 5 GB free. this has instantly helped and i've had no problems since.

Well, that is interesting, since I was under the impression that if you were low on space, that it would remove the previously downloaded songs to make room for the currently playing song. I am glad that you found that out! Thanks for posting what you found.

it is definitely quite interesting. it would make more sense if it worked like that but now i'm not so sure how it works. i wasn't even aware that it ever actually downloaded the songs in the first place. at least i got it figured out. maybe the dev can comment on how it is supposed to work or why it was working that way.
