Can Subsonic Be Accessed In Sleep/Hibernation Mode?

I want to conserve energy by keeping my computer on Sleep or Hibernation mode while I'm out of the house. But at the same time, I want to access my music. Will Subsonic work if the computer is Sleeping or Hibernating?
Please answer that question first, lol!
And here's my second question:
After changing the name of my server to a simpler one, I've been able to access from Android but not using a remote PC. I used to do a Google under "http://internationalgarage.subsonic.org" (the old name) and could access it no problem once the search result came up. But since changing it to "khush.subsonic.org" it wasn't finding it.

For the first one you should setup a wakeup on lan...
The second one is probably just a matter of time before google finds your new domain (if it is linkedo n any website?)...

The host computer must be on to use Subsonic. You can use wanke on lan or wake on WAN and check your power settings on the host to prevent idiling to sleep when sharing media.
Your Servername.Subsonic.org address does not use DNS, so there should be no delay in using it if it is configured properly. Whenb you register the name with subsonic.org, SS.org just provides http redirection to your ip:port# of the SS host on your network.
I tried your address and google returned, "Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to 99.230.198.61:8080" which means either your port is blocked by your router or your server is asleep.

Yeah, I was having Android connection problems all day. Turns out (especially in the evening) the Subsonic Music Streamer automatically stopped. I don't know why.

Still Can't Access My Subsonic From A Remote Computer. Argh!

So after a couple of months, I'm finding I still can't access my subsonic from work (or any other computer, for that matter).
I remember I WAS able to finally access it under the old "internationalgarage" nomenclature. But since changing it to "khush" it's no longer found.
I have been able to access the new address using the Android app, so that's good. But I'd like to listen to my own music at work.
If someone can try to hit my server, I'd appreciate it.
it's http:khush.subsonic.org.
Thanks.
