Hello all


Problem Description:
When clicking any mp3 file (using the flash Subsonic player) Firefox always want to open a play.m3u... This happened after 1h I installed Subsonic. I didn't change anything (nor player nor transcoding defaults).

Troubleshooting Steps:
I made a donation (anyway I would have but not after 2hs trying this software).

Playback Application and version:
The Subsonic flash player. I don't want to use any other.

Subsonic Version:
4.4 (build 2172) – 6 février 2011

Server Version:
jetty-6.1.x, java 1.6.0_18, Windows Server 2008 R2 (28,3 MB / 38,4 MB)

Hardware Platform:
Windows Server 2008 R2 on a private dedicated server

Hum... It works fine using IE 9...

Check your player... you should be able to see the player name in the dropdown menu.



Then, check the Type of player it is. I bet it's not set to Web like it should be. If it's set to an External player (with or without playlist) the result will be an attempt at an M3U download. Because Subsonic wants you to open it in the External player. Change it to Web Player and hit Save, and I bet everything will be good again.



Or just delete it and make a new player. lol.
