Hello everyone,

I am able to connect locally using my ip adress and port number,
but I have an issue connecting remotely

I connect locally using: kingharri.subsonic.org or with 192.168.2.**:8080

Now, to connect remotly (from any other computer outside my network),
i have been told to use my external IP (the one which assigns my computer particularly)=> 91.177.214.**:8080

when I enter this, I just get send to my internet rooter (Belgacom)

how do I configure my external IP to relate to my internal IP?

I've been spending weeks on it, help would be really appreciated!!

Many Thanks,

Kingharri

Peruse your router manual and learn how to open 8080 TCP manually, and test with canyouseeme.org until it works...reboot router after any changes. G'Luck!

Hi,

You can also try No-ip.com or such service to get a smarter external address.
