Hi all,
First of all, thanx for a great product.
I'm running the latest version of Subsonic on a Win2003 R2 server, and it works flawlessly on most filetypes. Even mkv files now streams without buffering (after upgrading to the latest ffmpeg build).
I'm having some issues with the Subsonic app for Android however.
And that is probably a setup issue on my hand. When starting a video file, the app launches Opera mini, which halts with a "Connection failed" error.
What do i need to do to get this to work? Do i need to install some additional player app?
I have a Samsung Galaxy S2, on Android 2.3.
Any help appreciated!

Just download the Android app from the Market.

Hm.. What makes you think that i haven't done that? Asking about some problems getting videofiles to play in the app, should be a dead giveaway

Probably because my app doesn't open the Opera browser.
"halts with a "Connection failed" error. " Are you able to play music? Do you have Flash installed on the phone?

Well, flash 10.3 is installed.
I've upgraded to the latest app version.
I get two different behaviours in the app. When i "click" on the file directly,
it asks if i want to open the file in the native internet browser, or Opera Mini. Choosing the native browser, i get the flashplayer running in a small window, but fails with "Video not found or access denied".
Opera Mini fails with the mentioned connection error.
If i browse to the folder and "click" the play icon in the top right corner, it open the native mediaplayer on the phone and tries to play the first file in the list. There it throws an exception error: "Media Player error: -4 ..."
or "Prepare failed.."
In the logs i get: Invalid duration specification for ss: %-o

Some .avi files can be troublesome. Test your phone on my site listed at the bottom. If your phone works on my site then your problem is either the source file or the transcoding. test the files in the Video folder. There are files formated for mobile that should work over a good 3g connection. Most any of them will work over a decent wifi.
