Having a the same old problem that has been asked about all over the forums:

Getting error:

Status: drumloud.subsonic.org is registered, but could not connect to it. (ConnectTimeoutException)

My router has been configured to Port Forward 4040, 8081 and 80, just for good measure.

I'm forwarding to: 8081 / 8081 / TCP / 192.168.1.105 / Checked
Also Ports 4040 on ...106 and 80 on ...107

My router is the Linksys WRT160N
Firmware version: 3.0.03 (latest version)

My subsonic domain is below: drumloud.subsonic.org (Registered)

I am able to login to Subsonic on my Local LAN using http://localhost:8081 and using http://drumloud.subsonic.org

Internet IP Address: 76.104.130.18

The IP Address that it resolves to is 172.16.28.1:8081

Using the various "semyip" apps online, it is confirmed my Internet IP is 76.104.130.18.

However, when I insert a Port of 8081 or 4040 it is unreachable.

I've spent days researching and fiddling with the router. There must be someone who has figured this out????

I have DONATED!

Thanks!

Only open the one port (either 4040 or 8081) and apply that port to Subsonic. Ensure the server lan IP is correct when setting the port in Linksys firmware. Reboot the router after setting port, and test the port with canyouseeme.org for your chosen port. Only when it passes this test will the port actually be open.

Solved! Thanks

I deleted the additional ports I was forwarding and changed the LAN IP to xxx.xxx.x.101. This is strange because it was working on 105. I only guessed to changed it to 101! So, I hope I don't have to guess anymore. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.
