Hey!

I'm using subsonic with an "External player with playlist" config, foobar is configured to open .m3u but fails to do so. It works just fine with winamp.

I've the following error message.

I do use https.

Any idea?

cheers

I'm not using foobar, but I've been having problems with external player behavior since version 4.4. Chrome and Firefox won't open VLC for me but IE9 will play music, but none of them will open video. Same behavior on 4.5 beta1.

I think something got broke when the video functionality was added.

Hey

Thanks for the feedback.

I think that my issue is more security related, I mean foobar playing https streaming may be the problem.

Have you ruled out certificates as a problem? If foobar is analyzing your certificate it might notice that it's self-signed or for the wrong website. If that's the case you'll have to determine how to tell foobar to ignore the certificate and proceed.
