Network Settings Help

I apologize for not knowing a whole lot about network configuration.

First off, I'm running Windows 7 32-bit.

I'm looking in the network settings for Subsonic in my browser.
When I try to forward port 80, under the first check box (Automatically configure your router ...) I get the message "Status: Successfully forwarding to port 80.". Under the second check box (Access your server over the Internet ...) I get me message "Status: xxxxxxxxx.subsonic.org returned HTTP error code 404 Not Found."

Okay, so I try some different ports and I get the same messages.

I don't have access to my router. I am on the internet provided by my apartment complex. It is a switched network that looks like:Image

My computer is at the very top left. I'm not sure If I have to change settings to account for my switch or what. The network admin may be blocking all the ports for security or performance issues. I don't know.

Can anyone give me advice on what I can do to get this working?

I think that the problem lays in the fact that you don't have acces to your router. I think the router is password protected and you need that info
before you can change the portforwarding settings.

So...I'm afraid that it won't work as longs as you don't have access to the router :(
