Every single one of my in depth thousand of mp3 and other files has id tag info. Is there a plan to make use of this info as it works so much better than anything else, especially the horrible million folder system that apple uses and it appears is the only way that subsonic can recognize albums. I am extremely frustrated that I have spent all this time working on tags over the years and all my other media devices make use of them but not subsonic.
I can find my files using the search, but since most of my mp3s are in only about 5 folders, subsonic only thinks I have 5 albums, or if it does read some of the tag info, it still cannot lookup the file by album, only by song title because it can only read the folder stuff.
Is there any plan to fix this? I already paid for my subscription and both my ipad and android subsonic players but none of them make use of the tags they way that say winamp does. It seems it would be easier to read tags than folder structure anyway.
So is this something that is being worked on and if so when? If I want to listen to albums now, I have to use winamp for android, which is fine, but I like everything else about subsonic so fixing this would get us out of the 1998 standard and onto maybe the 2006 standard or so.
