Fedora 15

been messing around with fedora and thought i would try accessing my subsonic which is hosted on a win 2008 server.. access it fine thru firefox on fedora but the problem is the flash player.. the flash player isn't open source so can't get it.. any ways round this cos i would like to stick with fedora if possible

Download direct from Adobe: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

this worked for me...and now firefox and google chrome able to play from subsonic... wonderful!!

Uninstall any currently installed Flash Player before installing the real 64 bit version.

yum remove flash-plugin nspluginwrapper*

Download Adobe Flash Player “Square” 10.2 preview 3 x86_64 version here

## Current version download ##
cd /tmp

wget http://download.macromedia.com/pub/labs ... 710.tar.gz

Untar and unzip downloaded package

tar -xzvf flashplayer10_2_p3_64bit_linux_111710.tar.gz

Move plugins to /usr/lib64/mozilla/plugins/ or ~/.mozilla/plugins/ directory.

mv /tmp/libflashplayer.so /usr/lib64/mozilla/plugins/

## OR ##
mv /tmp/libflashplayer.so ~/.mozilla/plugins/
