Force Update Sidebar/Folder Display?

So recently I turned on my computer with my media drive unmounted, and Subsonic then couldn't see anything, so the folder display on the left and the listing of music and whatnot were blank. Then, after I re-mounted my HDD and everything Subsonic reloaded my music et al. and while I can search for music to listen to it, or use iSub, the folder display at the left has yet to update (after about 3 days).

This is also a problem when I add a new artist... it would take a long time (I never counted, but at least over a week) for that artist's folder to show up on the left.

I just thought that maybe I should try restarting the Subsonic service (on Windows, for what it's worth). I'll do that now. But if that doesn't work... does anyone have any other ideas?

Tl;dr: The folder display at the left is blank and hasn't updated in a few days. What should I do?

I'm having the same issue. I uploaded music, and I can search for it but I cannot get it to index it on the left. I have gone into settings and told the system to Re-Index the search several times, however no changes will show up in the side bar.

Ok now we have got more info to work with :)
Can u update your search index and check log for errors.
Also which browser are you using? and have you flushed the browser cache?
IE in particular seems to have problems recognising the page has changed and keeps displaying old info and needs prodding! :? to accept new info.

Quick edit: are you using any mods such as the accordion mod?

Browser is Chrome, I just loaded it up in Firefox though, and It is still loading the old information, and I'm 99% it has never been run in Firefox before.

Weird, it was a browser cache issue this time. In the past it didn't fix itself on "virgin" (never logged into Subsonic before) browsers. Sorry to waste everyone's time, with my issue, at lease.

Same issue with me. I'm not sure what was causing it. I cleared my history in browser and did everything to clear it. The thing that I think set it off was login in as a different user :| I have no idea why but once I did that I went back and refreshed my main account and it was updated. It was Recommended by BKKKPewsey to try changing Themes and see if that changed it. Hope this helps someone else.

I would also try a force reload (ctrl-f5) and if that does not work (and you are using Chrome...) right click on that frame and click "Reload Frame."

I have to do that if I add a new artist folder in my music share and want to see it immediately. I usually use the "Reload Frame" option so that the java music player is not reloaded (hence stopping the track that is currently playing).

HTH,
