Subsonic Forum

I experience performance issues after a while.
Subsonic installation is running on:

Windows 2003 x64 Enterprise
Dual Xeon 3.2 Ghz
6GB RAM

I tried to solve the performance issue by installing Subsonic (application and web) on a RAM-Drive following this tut: http://forum.subsonic.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5707

It was lightning fast but..after a couple of days/weeks it slows down and as I'm typing this message it takes like 25 seconds
before I can see the full web interface. It doesn't matter if I try to load it local or through the internet.

Please advice what to do...

You shouldn't be getting performance issues with the hardware you're running. How long does it take to do a manual index update? What's your file structure?

File structure is the biggest and most frequently seen cause of poor performance, usually when the are too many files/folder.

SS really likes x:\Music\Artist\Album\tracks

Also, inspect your console for used memory...it may be outgrowing your ramdrive capacity (logs?).
