finding media library

I just downloaded latest lite version out of store onto 3gs IPHONE RUNNING THE NEXT TO LATEST VERSION OF 4

64 BIT pc RUNNING WINDOWS 7

SET UP SUBSONIC on pc AND IT DOES not FIND ANY OF MY MEDIA

Name iTunes Music
Folder Z:\BUFFALOBUD\share\My Music\i Tunes

TRIED A SEARCH AND NOTHING COMES UP

TRIED THE NAMES AND Address of itunes folder on my z drive and no luck

just get a no media found? 274 gig library there

any hints

Have you read http://monroeworld.com/android/subsonic/ with particular attention to the permissions for shared drive section.

If Z: is a mapped drive Subsonic will NOT recognize it. Use the UNC to the share and edit the logon for the subsonic service in windows as described in the link in the post below.

You will also have touble if your media is all in a defined path in subsonic without being placed in folders.

e.g. X:\music = defined path in Settings/Music Folders and all the tracks are just in the \music directory

Subsonic likes the music organized into:

X:\Music\Artist\Album\Tracks

So the Settings/Music folder would be

X:\Music

and then SS would display all the Artist folders in the left column.

If tracks are just placed in the root of a defined folder, then the tracks will appear in the left column on the desktop but will not appear on a phone app because it won't see any folders.
