Problems logging in to Subsonic server with webOS browser

I recently was one of the few lucky people that managed to get the HP TouchPad for quite cheap. Upon getting it, one of the first things I tried to do was go to Subsonic to see how well it handled video streaming via flash. Imagine my surprise when I could not even login to the site. I type in my correct username/password, hit submit, and it briefly loads the j_acegi_security_check, before spitting me right back out on the login page, with no errors or anything.

On my Android phone it works fine, and after googling around, I couldn't find anyone else with this same issue. However, in doing wider searches for webOS redirect issues, I found this post:

I tried poking around the Subsonic JAR and WAR files, trying to find where the j_acegi_security_check action/file is located so that I could resave it with CRLF newlines, but I'm not a Java programmer and couldn't make heads or tails of the files. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions for how I could fix this?

FYI, if anyone else got a TouchPad and is running into this problem, it's actually caused by the buggy/flawed browser cache. If your TouchPad is in Developer Mode with Preware installed, you can follow the directions at this link to turn off the browser cache (which will also probably fix plenty of other problems, too):

I disabled the cache on my touchpad following the instructions in the precentral forum, but I still have the same problems logging into the subsonic server.

After I enter the login end password, the login screen is re-displayed with a session reference in the url.
I do not know what to do to make it work....

There is nothing in the subsonic log files, I could not manage to increase the log level (changing the log4j.properties under the jetty directory didn't do nothing)

I finally found a solution for my login problem: apparently the webos browser does not handle redirect properly when the hostname does not include a domain...

I am using subsonic on my LAN so I was just using the hostname.
I switched to using the ip address of the subsonic server and now it works!
