Active Directory and user authentication

I have recently migrated to a new install of version 4.5 and have successfully configured LDAP authentication with W2K8 R2 Active Directory, allowing for user accounts to be created automatically in subsonic once authenticated by a DC. This is successful and is noted in the log each time a new user is created, but it seems this authentication only happens the one time at account creation (in subsonic). I've disabled user accounts in AD that were created for this purpose and the users can still log into subsonic. Disabling LDAP auth altogether still allows for users to log in as well.

Is this behavior intentional? Seems to defeat the purpose of using AD in the first place.

I am not using AD or LDAP but reading the little pop-up box in SS it would appear that this is a "bug" .
As you say it does rather defeat the point of LDAP :(

Interesting, I just tested this on our LDAP based system and indeed is the case. Until this is rectified I guess the workaround would be to reinstall subsonic or the authentication file on a regular basis to keep authorised users things up to date.
