Registered subsonic URL not working now

A couple of days ago my Subsonic.org URL I use for my Subsonic server has stopped working and I cannot get it working from my end. I've tried a few things but do not understand why it is not working

When using my server URL: [edited out] it forwards to an IP address which is the current IP to my server, but it times out

The subsonic server is accessible via LAN, the IP address is open externally as my other services work just fine, and I have another dynamicDNS address that I've also had working for a long time and is still working.
The machine is DMZ'd to have the proper ports open, there is no firewall on the machine enabled currently (was done during troubleshooting) and the machine has been rebooted several times.

At this point, the only thing that's changed since using Subsonic server for the past few months was I updated my server to 4.5 a couple of weeks ago.

is there a problem with the DNS/Hosting URL on Subsonic's side?

edit: i just saw the "help" template. I'm not at home right now, i will fill it out when i get home in several hours.. my sincere apologies for any frustration

Welcome

Can you check that the subsonic.org address is pointing to the correct port?
Also does your dyndns-url:portNo open SS ok?

How do i check that it is going to the correct port? What port should it be on?

I don't understand the second question.. No open SS ok? I don't fully get what this means :p

The Port no is the port you told Subsonic (SS) to use.
When you enter yourname.subsonic.org in the browser it will redirect back to your SS server as IP address:Port No

If you have a dyndns account pointing to your router then you achieve the same thing using that.

In my case "myname.dyndns.com:8080/subsonic" gets me to the login page.

Any idea what default is? I'll give that a shot, as I'm still at work and would like to try my dyndns url I don't recall changing it..

I am not sure if the default is the same for all installs and I cannot remember what mine was.
However it may be port 80 which is NOT GOOD as this port quite often gets blocked by ISP's
If it is, change it to something else, say 8080.
If when you type your subsonic.org address into your browser you do NOT see a port no after the IP address then you are using port 80
(I think thats right but I am sure someone will correct me if I'm not  )

Yeah I think I am using port 80

It was working up until a couple of days ago, so I'll change ports and try again

Thank you, I'll update when I get home in about 4 hours

Alright it was set at default port of 80.

I changed the port number and went into my router and forwarded UDP and TCP traffic specifically to the LAN IP of the server and I still have no external connectivity via URL provided by Subsonic.org. This is when I use [subsonic url].org:[port no.]

My DYNDNS URL with specified port works just fine.

I'm pointing the finger at subsonic's URL messing up at this time, is there any known issues? I can't access dyndns url's from work as they're blocked so I did not know they worked at the time.

Please advise

Just point your browser at yourname.subsonic.org that will sort out the port number for you automatically

Probably it was your ISP blocking the port - they do not like servers on domestic contracts and if you were hosting a web server from home you would be using port 80

Very strange.... I'll have to call them ask ask what that's about.. I'm switching service providers in about a month anyway, Qwest, AKA Centurylink now, has been a pain in my ass for the last 2 years
