Hello,

First this question is about a GigaPros hosted subsonic server (created 1 week ago, version 4.4)

Problem Description: I was struggling to get a webradio to play with the Subsonic internal player (the flash one). So i added a radio stream in the interface and noticed it was just enabling user to download a .pls file but it wasn't reading it internally. So i wanted to delete the previous radio... But after checking the "delete" checkbox and pressing "save" absolutly nothing happened. The stream is still showing in the interface even though according to the setting panel, no internet radio is configured anymore.
Troubleshooting Steps:

1. Configure a web radio.
2. Delete it using the setting panel.
3. The webradio is still showing on the left panel to every user but the stream doesn't exist anymore in the setting menu for web radios.

Playback Application and version: Integrated flash player.
Subsonic Version: 4.4 (build 2169)
Server Version: jetty-6.1.x, java 1.6.0_17, Linux (77,1 MB / 97,5 MB)
Hardware Platform: As it's hosted by GigaPros i think it's CentOS.

Bonus questions:

1. Is it easily possible to get a web radio to play with the internal flash player ? I don't really wan't my users to have to use an external player. I don't think i can install much things on this subsonic server as it's hosted by GigaPros and i can't really configure the hosting server itself. At most i can edit a bit some configuration file but not much more :/
2. The speed graphs in the "status" panel never showed since the very begining. Even just after the server was installer, these graphs never showed up. Any idea of how to fix that ? I can eventually open a dedicated topic for this but i don't think it's really worth kludging the forum for such a minor issue.
3. "WARN NetworkService Failed to register web address." Any idea why i'm constantly getting this error ? The redirection is still working as far as i know :/

First question what browser are you using? as it sounds more like a browser & cache issue

Latest version of google Chrome.

But yeah could be.

I just created and deleted a radio station via chrome with no problem so its not a browser issue.
With regard to the status tab, start playing something and then select the tab, you should see a lot of info there.
You should also see an accumulated stream info by selecting users from the home tab screen - do you?
I can post some screen shots later of what you should be seeing if that would help.
Edit: The internet radio should play via the web browser - No external player involved if the users player is designated a web player (option 1)

Well i tried to start streaming a track and then go to the Status tab, but the graph picture is still not showing. And no particular output in the logs concerning this :/

And for the radio, well it always ask me to download the *.pls or *.asx file but it never plays it right in the integrated player.

And i still can't delete that radio entry on the left side

Ok there appears to a number of issues here. Taking 1 step at a time can you create another radio station using the link below
http://listen.di.fm/public5/spacemusic.asx
I know this radio station works ok
See if that plays ok in browser
Then delete it and see if it disappears from the left frame.


p.s Any strange noises emanating from your speakers is considered normal for this station

First when i created this new test radio with your link, it just replaced the previous undeletable radio :O

And when i tried to play the radio, it was just letting me download the asx.asx file from the radio instead of sending it in the internal flash player :/

I will try to check on another computer to see what if it's not just an issue related to my browser or something.

And finally deleting the radio didn't worked either but it showed something like an error message on the left side of the menu buttons in the header.

"Aucun fichier trouvé. Veuillez modifier vos paramètres." Which means -> "File not found. Please change your settings".

EDIT: Well i stupidly deleted my music folder entry in the settings instead of the Web radio. So then i really tried to delete to radio (in the right tab ) and couldn't remove it anyway. So then i set up back my music folder, and poof the radio vanished (problably made subsonic recreate his index and delete the web radio index inconsistency).

One problem solved quite mysteriously :O

Now remains the problem with the status tab which never worked and the "Failed to register web address error". Oh and i still can't play a radio right in the integrated player :/
And i'm quite scared to make some more test radios and eventually not be able to delete them.

I am experiencing the same issue with the latest Subsonic 4.6 beta 2 on two computers, a Mac with Google Chrome and Linux with Firefox (the server is running on a third Linux box). After deleting or disabling an Internet TV / Radio link it is still present in the list of albums. The problem may be related to the browsers' cache, since if I switch to private browsing / incognito mode the radio link is gone there. However, outside of incognito mode, the link is still present in the browser where I added it in the first place, and I can't get rid of it. Is there a way to fix that behavior without trying to clean browser cache or rebuilding music database as the previous author has mentioned?

I just tried disabling a radio station, using chrome on vista, and 10 secs later the frame updated and poof! it was gone.

This may be very obvious but you are hitting the save button after deleting/disabling?

The radio item is either disabled or completely removed in the settings. The left pane however doesn't update and still shows the radio link no matter how many times I reload the page. Actually all our family members are experiencing this issue on different computers. If I clear or disable the browser's cache, it finally disappears. I checked in Firebug and somehow the HTTP GET request for the page's left frame results in a 304 "Not modified" response, so the browser fetches the cached version.

Well, I'm also running the Linux version of Subsonic server, as the original author of this topic did. Still, it usually works well when updating the left page frame. Made the following experiment: with the radio link still being displayed after removal I added a new album to the root of my music folder. After refreshing the page looks great: I see both the new artist/album plus the radio link is gone. Why Subsonic initially returns 304 Page not modified when deleting the radio, but correctly handles other cases isn't clear.
