Closing the Subsonic App on Android

I briefly searched for things related to this and couldn't find anything.

I am running Gingerbread on my HTC Evo, and in the past there used to be an "X" button on the main screen. As of a couple updates ago I realized there is no longer an "X" button to close the app. This is very frustrating because when I'm done using the app, it just keeps running in the background and drains my battery unless I force close it or use Task Killer to end it.

Is there any native way withing the app to close it anymore?

On the Subsonic home screen, you can bring up the menu and select Exit.

Just so you know, unless the program is written very poorly then there is no need to exit out of programs when you aren't using them. Using task killers are generally unnecessary with modern Android. If you are not actually playing or downloading music, Subsonic is not going to be killing your battery in the background. Even was killing your battery in the background, the Android OS is going to automatically suspend it after about a half hour unless you are actively playing audio.
