accessing subsonic from within a university network

Postby crabioscar » Fri Oct 21, 2011 4:00 pm

I have subsonic running on a laptop that is currently connected to a network over which I have no control. I would like to stream to other computers that are on the same network. Any idea of how to go about this, or of how to find out whether it is possible or not?

My laptop is running Ubuntu 10.04.
The network is configured by mysterious overlords.
I can broadcast subsonic to the world with no problem from my home network(which I control).

Let me know if there's other info that I should include.

Have you tried yet?
Without knowing the lan configuration its difficult to give any advice so its down to S & S (suck and see) :)
If it doesn't work first time I would suggest trying port 80.

Due to the confusion from too many genres of music, we have decided to put both country music and rap music into the genre of Crap music.
