External player with playlist

I have my media sitting on my home computer.

I am trying to sort my music into playlists that are manageable and relevant.

Is there a way that I can do this on my work PC? I figured out how to add things to existing playlists but don't seem to be able to create them or to play them.

I would happily use a third party app to do this (thus why I selected the "External player with playlist" option. My preferred media player is J. River Media Player, but really I am willing to work with anything that will let me edit playlists and sync with my Sansa Clip.

Help?
