Web player won't play songs

Problem Description: When playing a song from the web player the loading bar fills up (buffer) and the song plays for about .1 sec and then is silent. The logs show that I'm still playing the file but the player icon turns back as if I weren't playing the song. If I skip forward in the song it plays just fine. Subsequent files in a playlist may or may not play automatically. With any file I can skip forward in the song and it will play to completion.
Troubleshooting Steps: upgraded from subsonic 4.4 to 4.6b1
Playback Application and version: web-based player in Windows 7 x64. Tried with Google Chrome 13.0 and Mozilla Firefox 6.0
Subsonic Version: 4.6.beta1 (build 2508) – November 1, 2011
Server Version: jetty-6.1.x, java 1.6.0_20, Linux (47.1 MB / 72.7 MB)
Hardware Platform: HP Media smart server running Amahi Linux
Java Memory Limit: 256 (changed in config file and restarted service)
Problem Filename: Any music file.
Output from ffmpeg -i:

When you say any music file do you mean only mp3's or other file types too?
Did it work ok in v 4.4?
One thing to try is to create another player and try that.

I have only tried mp3s (will try another format tonight).
It did not work in 4.4
I'll also try from an external player tonight.

Sorry not over clear I mean create another web player via settings/players - clone player
remember to select your web player in drop down list first.

I got the exactly same problem. This happened maybe a couple of times each day before, with the older versions of Subsonic.
But with the new beta-release it happens on 1 out of 5 songs, which is very annoying.
I've tried to make a new player, but it ends with the same result.

It would be great if someone know a way to solve this :)

I can't figure out how to play/find my non-mp3 songs. I have a bunch of flac files but they don't show up in the main interface.
The files play just fine in an external player (once downloaded)
I played 7 songs (and counting) tonight with no issue. I'll keep my eye out for a new beta and install it once the new release comes out.

Make sure the file types are entered in settings/general - music files
