Upping Memory Limit Access Denied

I am having some issues all of a sudden with the server going down and giving me an error message. The error message states that I am out of memory. This happened before on an old PC, and I know I need to increase the memory from 96mb as I have multiple users on my server. Why will it not allow me, the admin, to update the settings on my home pc (where the server is housed)?

Thanks in advance.

You change the memory via the SS control panel.
Stop and restart SS and all should be good.

I bring up the control panel and attempt to up the memory and then hit save settings, and it says access denied.

It looks like good old Windoze has decided you cant be trusted to access your own machine.
I thought they sorted that out on 7.

Can you (if you are allowed) start and stop SS from the control panel?
If so stop SS 1st then try to alter settings.
If that doesnt work use taskmgr and stop subsonic-service and subsonic-agent then run subsonic agent as administrator
This will bring up SS control panel, alter memory settings, save (keep fingers crossed :) ) then restart SS

If that doesn't work you can get windows XP cheap on fleabay

You lost me at run subsonic agent as administrator.

Whether Subsonic is running or not, it will not let me change the settings. And this whole system ran fine for over 3 months.

In C:\Program Files (X86)\Subsonic you should have subsonic-agent.exe (the control panel)
After stopping it first via taskmgr, as already posted, right click on it and run as administrator.
Alter the memory settings to say 256MB, save and restart subsonic.

One last attempt then I am out of ideas. :(

Stop SS again :| and go to the c:\subsonic\db folder.
In there you will find a file called subsonic.lck
Delete that and then restart SS again and try again.

Still nothing...appreciate the attempts though.

Try a re-install (backup the db folder 1st just in case)
Also check that you only have one subsonic-service running.
Now I am really out of ideas
