Hi, my server is great but after being up a day or so it just shuts down and I need to restart it. I am running on Ubuntu 11.10. Where is the subsonic log? I hope there is a clue in the log to help me with this.

The logs are located at /var/subsonic

You most likely need to increase your java memory. What install method you used would be great information to give you the best direction on where to increase this setting.

If you did the standalone, the file is /var/subsonic/standalone/subsonic.sh. Edit it in your favorite editor and change the line:

SUBSONIC_MAX_MEMORY=

I have mine set to 768.

Hope this helps.

Hey thanks for the info. I followed the instructions http://www.subsonic.org/pages/installation.jsp#debian to get it installed.

I had to search my filesystem for the shell script. It was in /usr/share/subsonic. Now that it is edited and restarted I hope it is more reliable. I did see heap errors in the log.
