My case is different, as I've had subsonic installed for about 6 months. The past month or so (working fine before that!) the random playlist function on the android has not been working at all. I understand that the random playlist function is closely tied to the search function, but searching works fine for me!
I've tried reindexing multiple times (it also occurs at 3 am every day anyway) and I've updated to the latest beta in hopes of fixing the issue.
It's really irritating, as I don't really want to think about what to listen to, it tends to skew what I listen to and it leaves the new stuff unheard
When I press the "random" button on the home screen it just instantly takes me to the Now Playing screen. Whatever playlist was loaded before I pressed the button will remain untouched, no music will play play. If the playlist is cleared out it will stay cleared out, etc. There are no log entries created when pressing the random button.
