Unable to connect via LAN with Android

I have configured my subsonic installation and router and I am able to stream when my Android (Nexus One) is connected to the phone network. So, I know my subsonic installation etc works. I use the xxx.subsonic.org address to do this. ( 4.5 (build 2384) – August 10, 2011; jetty-6.1.x, java 1.6.0_20, Linux (30.6 MB / 63.2 MB))

I cannot get my Android phone to connect via the LAN when it uses WiFi. The two servers are on the same network domain subnet etc.

If I open up a browser on my phone I can log in, but the SubSonic application does not work. It gives me a network 1...4 error.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks, George

I am still unable to get this to work after much trying and experimentation.

Is it likely to be a subsonic or network problem?

Please help as this a critical function to make subsonic a useful product for me.

Thanks,

George

Is it only your home wifi where this doesn't work? Does it work from a public wifi or at a friend/family's house?

I had a similar problem with connection from my local wifi on my EVO 4g. I'm not positive, but I think it was a local DNS issue.

All I did was add a second server connection in the app pointing to the IP Address instead of the DNS/server name, ie http://192.168.1.7/subsonic/

Hope that helps...
