Sounds stops working after using android RC/Jukebox
Posted: Wed Dec 07, 2011 10:27 pmRunning the standalone java version here on a gentoo box. Updated android and subsonic server apps this week, and the remote control/Jukebox feature is really, really slick.
However, after using it, no other audio can be played on my system until the subsonic process has been restarted. Not a huge deal, but figured I should report it. Saw a similar mention about this in one of the forums back when it was beta software. Sounds like it's a java issue, but hopefully there's a workaround.
It would be great if in the future it would be possible to jukebox control a client as well (tall order I'm sure). No way my server is leaving my office and going downstairs to the media center where the big stereo is. Maybe I'll look into wireless or ethernet based streaming of the analog audio signal down to my receiver from the office....
