Subsonic Windows Server fails to stream video to iPhone

either that or the audio streams but the only thing on the screen is album art.
I have a ton of high resolution movies on my media center pc that I want to be able to stream to my iPhone.
avi, mpg, mkv, etc..
This product works perfectly on almost any remote system (PC, Mac, Ubuntu and multiple different versions of android) but my company just gave me a new iPhone 4s and i can't get it to stream any of the video to the iPhone...
I'm not worried so much about audio. I want the video please.
I just upgraded the server to the latest version and I have the latest version of SubStream from the iPhone App Store.
help please?
