Subsonic Forum

Please help...Subsonic used to work great but since I've moved it hasn't worked at all. I donated money as well. I can't seem to log into the local host. Keep getting 404 error. I've tried everything. What do I need to change to make this work???????

More information, please, what OS, what version of Subsonic, did it ever work in the new place, is the server (service) running, have you changed or modified anything trying to troubleshoot, etc.

I have windows, just downloaded new version of SS 4.6. I am not sure if server is running or not. I cannot access the login page at all. I can not connect with phone either. I am guessing it may have something with the IP address and the move. Just a guess. I Tried modifying ports and context paths to no avail. When I click on local host it takes me to a directory page but then when I click on link I get the 404 error. Really wanna get this back up and running. Any help would be highly appreciated. thanks

Do you have the subsonic icon in the taskbar tray? (Looks like a little pair of headphones.) If not, click on Start>Programs>Subsonic>Subsonic Tray Icon.

Then right click on the tray icon, and select Subsonic Control Panel. It should bring up a small window with a bunch of helpful info. For one, it will give you, at the bottom of the Status tab, the Server address. It will also tell you, in the Service Status box, whether the service is running or not.

yes it is running but every time I click link to server I get the 404 error. It takes me to a directory page but then I can't get any further than that.

What port are you using and what is this directory page you talk of
