Lost gapless ogg playback on Android

For several months I have been using Subsonic to stream to my Samsung Droid Charge. For gapless and live albums I transcode flac to ogg. This has worked great until a few weeks ago when I started to get gaps between songs that shouldn't have had any. I tried rolling back the Android app to the previous version with no success (I've since gone back to the most current version). I have tried not transcoding the flac files but there are still gaps in the playback. It is important to note that this problem started just after Verizon (finally) pushed through an update to Android to go from 2.2 froyo to 2.3 Gingerbread. This may very well be an Android problem instead of a Subsonic problem but if anyone has any ideas I would like to hear them.
