Vortexbox,subsonic>android SLOW

Ok, setup worked fine and subsonic is up and runing. Downloaded subsonic app to my android cellphone and can see all artists and songs. I can choose a song to play but jesus it takes forever. I thought it would be like direct stream like spotify but its not. Any clues to what's wrong?

What is your bandwidth like? Do you have cable, dsl, FiOS?

Playback Application and version: (The end application that you are using to stream from Subsonic): Downloaded app from market to my SE xperia Ray.

Subsonic Version: (copy/paste from the "About" screen in the Subsonic Web Interface): 4.6 (build 2585) – December 6, 2011

Server Version: (copy/paste from the "About" screen in the Subsonic Web Interface): jetty-6.1.x, java 1.6.0_22, Linux (46.4 MB / 74.6 MB)

Hardware Platform: (Windows, Mac, Linux, NAS Model, etc... Invclude version if applicable): Fedora release 16 (Verne)
Java Memory Limit: (Windows: found in the Subsonic Agent in the taskbar)
Problem Filename: (If you are having difficulty with a particular file, please include it's name)
Output from ffmpeg -i: (If you open a command prompt and type 'ffmpeg -i <filename>' what is the output? Ideally put this in a "code" block)
Last ten log file lines: (The last ten or so lines copied and pasted from the About screen in the Subsonic Web Interface. Ideally these will be in a CODE block as well.) :

What is your java memory limit? You left it out.
