library statistics on left pane missing [Resolved]

The library statistics on the left pane seem to be missing on one of my subsonic servers. I mean info like this:

5,002 artists
2,114 albums
45,502 songs
281.23 GB (~ 4,368 hours)

I am running this on a remote computer as a non-root user with a reverse proxy into an apache2 server. For this I followed mostly this guide http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/s ... n_prebuilt

Subsonic works great and this is not a big issue ofcourse, but I like fun facts and I just wonder why it is missing.

Any ideas?

Does your search index work ok as the two are related ?
Have the statistics ever shown or just recently disappeared?
If search is ok trying changing themes and see if that brings the info back.

Thanks for your response BKKKPewsey.

Search seems to work well, so I guess that is a good sign.
Statistics have never shown; but I have not been using subsonic for a very long time on this server, so I still hope they suddenly show up.
I tried some different themes but that made no difference.

I also use subsonic on my home server and the stats were there at the first run.

Let me know if there is something else I can check or try to get the stats working....

I know I lost that info from my SS some time ago but I cannot remember what I did (if anything) to get them back or they just re-appeared on their own.
If I do remember I will post but someone else may have an idea

p.s what browser are you using as I find IE 9 can do some strange things with the SS web page.

ah no I haven't even tried subsonic in IE 9...

Mostly using ubuntu/linux these days. So firefox and chromium are my main browsers. Both work very well.

Hope someone else comes up with an idea. I think that it could somehow be related to proxying subsonic in apache2, but I don't really understand why it would happen. I know very little about apache2 or Java... :?

Yea. I can't use IE9 after my mods. And I won't go as far to cave in to IE9's weirdly odd, and oddly weird needs and demands! 8)

He after a restart of subsonic the stats just appeared!

No idea what did the trick. I had some duplicate folders for the same artist that were tagged slightly different. For example a folder that was named El-P and another folder that was named EL-P. For some reason The El-P folder was not showing up on subsonic. I have a large library so somehow these skipped my attention. Maybe correcting these made the stats appear. But that is just a guess....

same prob here (ss4.6)... the server stats in the left panel are sometimes there, but mostly not. is always like a: Yeah, must be x-mas again - I get some overall stats!!!

its not a major issue, but kind of annoying.

sounds like here, sometimes they are gone for weeks and than they are just back for weeks..... very weird behavior. i dont even know where to start and looking for the solution.
