Is there a way to increase the sidebar width?

First of all: OH MY GOOD LORD, I LOVE SUBSONIC. Secondly, I've customised it nearly perfectly to my liking! All that's left that's bugging me is the search sidebar on the left.

Is there anyway to customize the width or sizing? If not I'll just change my folder structures. Many thanks in advance.

When ytechie comes back on line no doubt he will help out - it is a fairly straightforward mod 8)
However I would suggest changing the folder structure to a Artist\Album\tracks format.
Its the way SS examines your folders & structure and works out what are artists and what are albums.
With your folder structure it may (will) get confused - try searching for an artist or album title and you will see what I mean

Here is how to modify the sidebar width.

We are going to edit index.jsp. There are two index.jsp files. We are editing the one in webapp/WEB-INF/jsp/. Here is the part we are going to edit:

Code: Select all
<frameset rows="70,*,0" border="0" framespacing="0" frameborder="0">
    <frame name="upper" src="top.view?">
    <frameset cols="15%,85%" border="0" framespacing="0" frameborder="0">
        <frame name="left" src="left.view?" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0">

The 15%,85% is the ratio between the left frame and the right side of the window.
Adjust the values so added they equal 100%. I edited mine so they are 16%,84%.

Hope this helps! :D

Not be dumb, but how do I even find that index.jsp file? Where is it? I'm using FireFox if that helps.
