I can't figure this out for the life of me. I have a bunch of albums that have cover art however, it is just showing a blank image when they are viewed from Subsonic. I am attaching two files both have cover art embedded into the mp3, and can be viewed by MediaMonkey etc.. However, when I try to view them with Subsonic, only one mp3 shows the cover art.

here are the files: http://www.thestormans.com/MichaelBuble.zip

Help!

thanks
Matthew.

So I tested it with the upcoming 3.2 release of Subsonic, which contains a brand new tag parsing engine, and it worked just fine. Hopefully, that will solve the problem for you.

Cheers, Sindre

A beta will be available within a week or two, hopefully. (Note: you would probably need to update the timestamp of the mp3 files to see the effect, as the scaled thumbnail images are cached.)

I am running the new 3.2.beta1 (build 474). However, it is still not showing the album art for some albums. I have tried removing the thumb directory, but this did not fix it...

Any thoughts?

Thanks.
Matthew.

Maybe it's still cached in the browser. Try to clear both the browser cache and the thumbs directory, then see if something is created in the thumbs directory when you display that album in Subsonic.

Hope this helps,
Sindre

Well I finally found the problem. It looks like windows media player created some album art and then hid it in the folder. I had to uncheck the "Hide protected operating system files" and check the "show hidden files and folders" in order to see the files. I deleted them and everything is back to normal.

That is why it worked for you, because I just sent you a couple of single songs and not the whole folder.

Thanks for your help.

Matthew.
