flac transcoding for iPhone/iPad

Hi!

I just started buying high quality flacs for some of the albums that I like the most, and was wondering if there is any way to transcode these flacs to mp4 (apple lossless) so that I can play them on my iDevices?

Any help or hints greatly appreciated!! :-)

UPDATE:
I´m going to rephrase my question: I have a system thats set up to stream flacs to my iPhone, and it works. It now transcodes the flacs to mp3, and I´m wondering how I can change that so it transcodes to m4a instead. :-)

Hi again.

I have been trying with the following setup for transcoding flac to m4a (alac/Apple Lossless)

ffmpeg -i %s -acodec alac m4a -

But this gives me no success...

Found some info here http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=889700, but havent been able to figure it out by myself.

There must have been someone else that have done this?

Thanks for the input! I am sorry to say that I didn´t really understand what was in the thread you posted. To me it doesn´t seem to be a flac-->m4a transcoder in there? But I also need to say that I am NOT experienced in this field! ;-)
