My subsonic dns no longer points to a valid server.

Postby kuys » Sun Feb 12, 2012 8:34 pm

I recently stopped paying for a rented subsonic server due to an increase in my home bandwidth.

I need to get the domain registrar to point to a new ip address.

Any help?

Settings/Network

Enter servername

Hit Save

It will resend the updated ip address to subsonic.org.

DNS is not involved SS uses an http redirect to point to your site.

Edit your DNS A record. If you're talking about the vanity URI available through subsonic.org, GJ51 is right.

Thanks Mike. Your right if in fact he's using a domain name. Most users don't realize that the SS.org names do not use DNS. I just assumed that he was reffering to the ss.org name based on the Subject title, but that is obviously ambiguous.
