Ubuntu server 10.04 installing subsonic

So I'm a bit new to this on the server side, I had been running Subsonic on a desktop running Ubuntu 10.10 along with a few other server side applications (namely Apache running a reveres proxy to subsonic). I changed ISP's and everything stopped working, and untangling the changes made to the various config files along with the machine being on its last legs lead me to scrap everything and start from scratch with a fresh server build.

The server is headless, and command line only, I have not been able to install subsonic nor have I been able to find a tutorial, or walk through that would give me some direction. The server is installed and working though so far nothing is running on it.

I am working with Ubuntu Server 10.04 at the moment because that is the current LTS release of their server, though I am considering an upgrade to 11.04

Any direction will be a huge help, thank you

What are you going to use? Standalone? The debian package?

I did the standalone and was extremely successful. Following the install docs worked like a charm. Just make sure the per-requisites are installed (i.e. java) and you shouldn't have any issues. Oh.. and don't forget to edit the /var/subsonic/standalone/subsonic.sh

Let me know if you have any specific questions that you need help with.
