No Sound when using Android App

I am using the Subsonic android app on a LePan II tablet running Honeycomb. I am able to connect to my server (and the demo server) and play songs, but there is no sound. The song progresses and appears to be playing, but there is no sound. I found and installed an app called 'PaMusic, which appears to be an older version of Subsonic, and this app plays songs in my library fine, so I am using it for now but I would 'prefer to use the latest Subsonic app.
