Cannot play on iSub: error message

I've had iSub (Subsonic iPhone app) since it came out and never had any problems. Now everytime I get this error:
Code: Select all
No song data returned. This coud be because your Subsonic API trial has expired, this song is not an mp3 and the Subsonic trasncoding plugins failed, or another reason

I did make a donation and even tried reinstalling the license
I can play music just fine on the Subsonic web interface.

Here's a portion of the log:
Code: Select all
[2/26/12 2:07:19 PM MST]    INFO   RESTRequestParameterProcessingFilter   Authentication failed for user null
[2/26/12 2:07:40 PM MST]    INFO   PlaylistInputStream   128 listening to "A Passion for Tango/01 - Mi Buenos Aires Querido - Payadora.mp3"
[2/26/12 2:07:40 PM MST]    DEBUG   TranscodeInputStream   Starting transcoder: [/var/subsonic/transcode/lame] [-S] [-h] [--resample] [44.1] [-b] [128] [--tt] [Mi Buenos Aires Querido - Payadora] [--ta] [The Sexteto Mayor Orchestra] [--tl] [A Passion For Tango] [/mnt/samba/Music/Jazz/A Passion for Tango/01 - Mi Buenos Aires Querido - Payadora.mp3] [-]
[2/26/12 2:07:40 PM MST]    DEBUG   InputStreamReaderThread   (/var/subsonic/transcode/lame) /var/subsonic/transcode/lame: error while loading shared libraries: libncurses.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I noticed this post:
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=8947
But id did not help. Somehow iSub manages to pull the folder list but when I hit play I get the error.

Try changing the player setting for the web player to max bitrate of 128k and try again.
I expect that to fail too. It looks like something as gone wrong with your lame install - OS update perhaps?

I reinstalled both subsonic and iSub, but that did not solve the problem. I have a feeling it's so
Something to do with the iPhone app, because the transcoding works fine otherwise.
