Hello,

I'm a french user of Subsonic .. and because I'm french I use (f***ing accents ;-).
I read some tips ont this forum to make them available and usable with my music. But I never succeed. I'm running it on Synology server, and ths linux system don't have any problem with accents.
'locale' package is not installed on the server but if the linux system don't have problem with accent is it really requested ?

I try to add following ont the subsonic.sh and restart the service. No improvments.
export LANG="fr_FR.UTF-8"
export LC_CTYPE="fr_FR.UTF-8"

Is there something else that i can try ?

Thanks for your help.

I had to install the locales package to make it to where characters with accents, etc., would work in Subsonic.
