Bit perfect playback in Jukebox mode. Is it possible?

Trying to achieve bit perfect playback using Subsonic. So far I have failed. My soundcard is capable of bit perfect playback and I have accomplished this using mpd. I have verified this by playing flac files encoded in 24/96kHz and the amplifier identifies the stream as 24/96kHz.

Can this be done with Subsonic?

I've specified my soundcard in /usr/bin/subsonic by adding the following line and restarted Subsonic.

'-Djavax.sound.sampled.SourceDataLine=#Port DS [hw:0]' \

watching the stream that actually is sent by 'sudo cat /proc/asound/card0/pcm0p/sub0/hw_param' shows that the stream is still resampled to 44.1kHz.

Anyone got an idea on how to accomplish this?

Turned out I wasn't selecting my sound card properly. Now it is working as it should. Although it seems like ffmpeg can't handle 24bit audio files.

How did you modify and did you just eliminate transcoding? Am have the same issue.
