Hello,
I'm just in the process of setting up subsonic on my home server ( Ubuntu 11.04 ). I have the port forwarding setup correctly, but when I try to setup the custom domain:
stephenconnolly.subsonic.org
I get the following error:
'Status: Failed to test web address. subsonic.org (UnknownHostException).'
Any help appreciated.
Regards,
Stephen

Have you donated and restarted Subsonic?
Cheers

No, I thought it was available for use for a certain amount of time and then I had to donate ?
There's a message highlighted in red stating its available until 21st March and after that a donation is required.
I have no problem donating, I just want to try and get it working first.
Regards,
Stephen

Yes you are correct - you have 30 days trial with all the options available.
I would suggest that you check that the port you have selected is actually open using
http://canyouseeme.orgAlso make sure that the port is not being used by another app on the server.

Sorry for the delay in getting back.
I've checked to see if the port if open using the website specified, but the connection just times out.
My router is a Cisco EPC2425, Modem Serial Number 224326128.
I've checked the router settings and as far as I can tell it seems to be setup correctly.
Not sure where to go from here ?
Anyone any thoughts ?

Try looking on
http://portforward.com for your modem to make sure you have set up your router correctly.
SS will not work until your port is open as seen by by
