Trial period over? [Resolved]

Hi, I had donated and used my license key to activate the subsonic server. Seems like the license info is lost every time I restart my computer or so. Every day I get the 'trial period server is over' error message when using the Android app. Then I paste the license again in the server web interface and it starts working again. It's getting annoying because I have to do this every day, or every time I restart my computer. Any help with this issue please ? Thanks

Hi, thanks but unfortunately the subsonic server still seems to be 'forgetting' that I actually entered a license code, so I cannot use the mobile client because it tells me that the trial has expired.
If I go to the 'About' section of the web interface I see this in the log:
[3/16/12 8:35:58 PM CET] INFO RESTRequestParameterProcessingFilter REST access for client 'android' has expired.
[3/16/12 8:35:58 PM CET] INFO RESTRequestParameterProcessingFilter Authentication failed for user kari
Then I enter the key again, go to the Settings -> Network section and it looks like it also forgets the Internet name that I had chosen previously.
After I provide the chosen Internet name again and press Save, then it shows this in the log:
[3/16/12 8:39:17 PM CET] ERROR SettingsService Unable to write to property file.
Then I would be able to log in using the mobile client.
The error 'Unable to write to property file' probably shows that the settings are indeed not being saved, so probably that's why after restarting my PC I'm not able to log in with mobile client.
Any way to resolve this issue?
Thanks!

Yes it looks like a permissions problem - what OS are you running SS on?

Try stopping SS and then renaming the subsonic.properties file to subsonic.properties.old (just in case) and restarting SS.
This should create a new subsonic.properties file.
If you open that file with a text editor you should see your licence details.

Make sure that you aren't running two sessions of Subsonic at the same time. It might seem far fetched but two processes trying to read/write to the same file is bound to cause problems.

Thanks for your help. A clean install seems to have resolved the issue. Cheers
