Subsonic Crash? Connection refused

I have been using Subsonic for years and have loved it. I started on Linux and eventually moved it to Windoze. It for the most part has been flawless, but now I need y'alls help. Let me start of by saying I have donated / registered :D

It was working perfectly, then Last weekend (3/7):
1. My network card died in my server. I took a month or so to replace it, but it is back up and running 100% (3/7).
My server also runs Magic jack and that is working 100% (I can call home now if I want).
2. Once I replaced the network card, Java wanted to update (goodie..) so I did that.
3. I knew Subsonic had a new update, so I did that.

Now, Subsonic works great, until it seems to get hung up. Then it just flat crashes. I get:

"
Network Error (tcp_error)

A communication error occurred: "Connection refused"
The Web Server may be down, too busy, or experiencing other problems preventing it from responding to requests. You may wish to try again at a later time
"

The only way to fix it is to stop the service, and restart it. Then it works great until the next hang.

I have bumped the max mem up to 512, this might of helped a bit... (bought more time?)
This AM i checked it (hoping it wouldn't crash like it did while I was at work today) and it said mem used 111mb. Maybe a memory leak? The program was idle....

I know it is not a router/modem thing, Magic jack and intranet prove. I know restarting subsonic fixes it. I have plenty of memory ded to it...

Thanks in advance!

Also, I can try and post my log once I get home. I viewed it the other day and it looked very empty for what I expected. Does it get re-written every time you restart the server? Backups?

Well, it looks like a memory leak to me...

from the log:

"[2012-03-10 16:25:10,622] WARN JaudiotaggerParser - Error when parsing tags in E:\MusiK\Hair Bands Rock\Areosmith\Aerosmith - Big Ones\01 - Aerosmith - Walk On Water.mp3
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space

"
and I'm currently using all of the memory I allocated for Subsonic.

One important piece I forgot to mention, this server is running Vista....

Help?

Subsonic-Service.exe Commit(kb) 599,040 Working Set (kb) 526,000'ish **constantly changing...

As soon as Subsonic was killed, the system returned to somewhat normal working operation.

:D Yes you do appear to having a nice time having a conversation with yourself.

You mention a java update - what version are you currently running?

Note: Adding multiple posts to the same thread is deemed bad forum etiquette and will not get your questions answered any quicker.

OK that Java version is ok (1.7 is an issue at the moment)
With that particular track check the ID3 tags particular the album art - what size is it?
I know SS does not like very large album art especially if it is embedded rather then a separate jpg.
If it larger then say 1000*1000 px try reducing it.
512mb should be more then adequate unless you have a very large media library (>300k tracks)

No art embedded in that particular track. Also it used to handle my system fine with less memory dedicated to it. Sounds like this isn't a very common problem so I'll just have to work it out. No biggie, I kinda thought it would be common. I think I'll start by installing an older version of Java and see what happens. I'll let y'all know when I figure it out.

Just an update in case anyone see something similar:

The server this was running on was a Vista machine with 1G of ram (that and magic jack was all it did):

I upped the ram to 2g, no change.
I upped Subsonics allowed memory to 1024 and it crashed at 990meg...
I formatted and installed Windoze 7, no change! Fully updated.
I had also noticed (and this actually seemed to start as soon as I donated and registered the program, for the record) that some of my album art would show broken links. I tried various fixes found in this forum and nothing worked. Even after the install of Win7 no change there either!

I found the cause, but not the reason:
My employer... yeah, I work for a Major tech company and only at work while using the business computer would 'some' of the album art be broken and the memory leak would propagate. I purchased iSub, no issues running iSub from my companies free WiFi hot spot. I can run Subsonic via my companies Guest log in on my personal computer fine, no memory leak. I enabled HTTPS, I can run subsonic now on my work computer with no broken album art! Rittle me that batman!

For the record, when the album art shows occasional (2/10ish) broken artwork 'my' Subsonic has a memory leak. This leak will continue until all available memory is consumed and then crash. This was experienced on a existing Win vista machine as well as a brand new fully updated Win 7. Maybe a future update will capture this...

All in all (at home) I love the program!
