Timing out when using remotely [Resolved]

I am using the "Automatically configure your router" feature inside settings in addition to the fact that I manually set up the port 80 forwarding on the Airport Extreme Router correctly. The status in the Network settings says "Status: Successfully forwarding port 80."

I can hit "http://localhost" just fine, but when accessing it remotely it just times out. Yes I am inputting the correct IP address using "http://whatismyipaddress.com"

Does anyone have any idea?

Thanks

Try using another port as something else on the server may be using port 80 (standard http port).
Also have you allowed SS through your firewall?

I guess I'm not sure what "allow SS through your firewall" means. I thought just port forwarding was all that needed to be done.

On the machine that Subsonic is running on, is there a firewall? Have you opened the port that Subsonic is using on THAT firewall.

Not your router/firewall, a software firewall on your "server."

Yes, that Windows 7 machine has a firewall, but even when I completely turn it off, requests to the IP address time out.
