Can't login

I've just setup Subsonic, and it won't let me login. I use the standard admin/admin username and password, and it says "Wrong username or password."

I looked up similar problems in this forum, and I don't seem to have the problems they're having. My /var/subsonic exists and is writable. The logs for tomcat5.5 and apache2 yield no information.

Where else should I look for my problem? Does tomcat-users.xml have anything to do with this?

I'm using Subsonic v.3.1 running on Ubuntu Edgy. I'm using java-1.5.0-sun-1.5.0.08

Cheers,
-Blake

I would remove any subsonic folders war files and whatever from the webapps directory

Try this

Go to /var/lib/tomcat5/webapps and remove the subsonic folder as well as delete everything in /var/subsonic and then start tomcat5 again and see if that fixes the problem. It should then totally redeploy with no config info and let you do the default login. If not then you might still have some java version issues floating around.

fixed

That did it, thanks!

By the way, I shut down tomcat before deleting the folders.
