How to install a Mod?

Postby quatermass » Fri Mar 23, 2012 11:57 am

I'm running 4.6 (build 2583) – 06 December 2011 on a Windows 7 Pro SP1 32bit quad core PC and it's working fine.

But recently I wanted to enhance the video output by adding the Videoplayer Aspect Ratio Mod.

But it gives no complete instructions on how to do this.

I tried looking in other Mods to see how they do it and it appears I'm suppose to have a webapp folder inside the root subsonic folder. Well I don't have that.

The only folder I have in there is c:\subsonic\logs

I've tried a full system search and its not on my PC.

I suspect I'm missing something which is obvious to others? :D

Not sure what you are looking at but there isn't a folder called logs in c:\subsonic :?
The folder you are looking for is in c:\subsonic\jetty\xxxx\webapp

That is not the c:\subsonic folder but your C:\Program Files\Subsonic\ folder - eg wrong one :D
The folder you want is the working folder eg: c:\subsonic not the installation directory.

Ah.. I see my confusion clearing.

I've actually got a F:\ drive with my OS and subsonic on it. No 'f:\Program Files\Subsonic' here

So Subsonic is in f:\subsonic as far as I was aware.

After trawling my whole PC for 'subsonic'. I see my little used DATA c:\ drive has a subsonic folder in it.

It would appear to have some of the folders I need in there. Bizarre.

I appear to need to put my Mod into the c:\subsonic\webapp folder but that's not there either.

Thanks. For helping me out, looks like this Mod may be out of date with the recent version of Subsonic?

Thanks for that. :D

Easy if you know of course.

Why don't mod'ers put this in their install instructions or in the FAQ I wonder? :?:
